Why Catholic schools?
As the new Bishop of the Cleveland Catholic diocese, it seems that everywhere I go I am asked this question. I am pleased to answer this question.

In a word, Catholic schools are "schools for the whole person". They exist to form our youth into full and complete persons, dedicated both to God and to their fellow human beings. Catholic schools provide a unique environment wherein young people can dialogue with diverse populations and cultures and grow in their understanding of their own gifts and talents and those of others.

It is with great pride in our schools that I invite you into this website to see, first-hand, what Catholic schools offer this region. Catholic schools make a difference, not only for the Catholic Church but for society at-large. Civic responsibility and engagement are characteristic of students who graduate from Catholic schools.

As shining examples of what people of good will can do together, let us follow the way of Catholic schools. By offering educational mastery and successful student achievement, Catholic schools form our youth who, as adults, will build the Cleveland area into a strong and vibrant region.
