Saint Monica School is a Roman Catholic elementary school located in Garfield Heights. With a focus on academic excellence, Saint Monica School is fully accredited by the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association. We provide: an outstanding Catholic and comprehensive education, Gospel values and Christian beliefs, and a fully licensed and certified faculty and staff.
The purpose of Saint Monica School, in cooperation with our parents, who are the prime educators, is to develop a right conscience to guide the students so they can become instruments of God's word and extend themselves into their communities.
In addition to the basic curriculum of: Religion, Mathematics, Language Arts, Science/Health, Social Studies, Art, Music, and Physical Education; we offer Student Council, Peer Tutoring, CYO Athletics, Scouting for Boys and Girls, Band Program for Grades 4-8, 8th Grade Drama Ministry, Youth Choir, Power of the Pen, and Junior Holy Name Society.
To support the individual needs of our students we provide: Speech, Remedial Math and Reading, and Psychological Services. Teaching our students the use of technology and multi-media to improve their lives and to help them in their education and future careers is a priority at Saint Monica School. We have a state-of-the-art eMac Computer Lab, computers in every classroom, 31 laptop computers on mobile carts, classrooms with ACTIVboards and closed-circuit student-produced TV program and morning announcements.
