Community is the underlying value of all that is Benedictine. St. Benedict taught us that hospitality and living and learning together, not individually, are keys to a successful life. At Benedictine students are brought together in a diverse community that emphasizes respect for one another, yet appreciates the unique qualities each of us brings to the school.
A Benedictine education is built on the belief that to become truly
mature, one must grow intellectually, spiritually and physically. At Benedictine,
the development of life-long, stable relationships is a fundamental theme
of our educational philosophy. Our commitment to a nurturing, close-knit
and supportive environment stimulates growth. This as well as our 11:1
student to teacher ratio sets us apart from other Catholic schools.
A challenging college preparatory curriculum seeks to discipline the mind
of every Benedictine student. Honors and Advanced Placement courses are
available along with postsecondary options and college credit courses.
At Benedictine you will have a real opportunity to play and be heard. We have a recognized and revered sports program and because we are a smaller school, you will have a real chance to play. More than 75 % of our students participate in one or more sports or intramurals. We are the Home of Champions.
At Benedictine, students are taught to respect others through service and giving of themselves. This message of service begins with our four-year Christian Service Program and is supported by the largest religious faculty on campus in the area.
