St. Rocco
Saint Rocco School opened its doors in 1927 to educate the children of Italian immigrants of the near West side. Since 1927, the Sisters of the Most Holy Trinity, Trinitarians, have served as administrators and teachers. The building was built through the generous free work of the men in the parish. In the 1960s, lay teachers joined with the Sisters to teach approximately 200 students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. Though historically a school that educated only Catholic children in the Fulton Road area, St. Rocco School now serves children in the communities of Cleveland, Brooklyn, Lakewood, Olmsted Falls, Strongsville, and other suburbs, bringing the love of the Lord to children of all faiths, through teaching and example.

We are accredited by the Ohio Catholic Schools Accrediting Association and follow the curriculum of the Diocese of Cleveland. Our teachers are state certified and participate in professional development on a regular basis. In addition to our classroom teachers, we have the services of a psychologist, a nurse, a speech therapist, and a basic skills teacher. There are computers in every classroom and wireless Internet access throughout the building, as well as ActivBoards in all classrooms. We have an active CYO sports program as well as a Parent-Teacher Unit. Our daily breakfast and lunch programs help to insure students are receiving nutritious meals. We have received many grants for our students to go on field trips which include The Cleveland Orchestra, Science Center, National History Museum, and Art Museum, just to name a few.

In addition to our elementary school, we are looking to the future by building an early childhood center and year-round day care, both scheduled to open in late January 2008. Our certified pre-school is open to children ages 3, 4, and 5. The year-round day care will be open to children ages 3-14.
