We strive to prepare our students for life long learning through Christian moral principals, social responsibilities, and self-discipline. We strive to develop the whole student. In addition to academics, extra-curricular programs, and service opportunities, our philosophy calls children to grow in the Gospel values of Jesus, through worship in the tradition of the Byzantine Church. The School educates students to live as loving, just, and responsible faith-filled citizens.

We are fully accredited by the State of Ohio, the Ohio Catholic Schools Accrediting Association, and the North Central Association. Our curriculum is based on Ohio State Standards and the Graded Course of Studies of the Diocese of Cleveland. Our teachers are experienced and hold state certification/licensure. Three teachers have advanced degrees.

We have a state-of-the-art computer lab plus wireless laptops for use in the classrooms. SMARTboards allow for interactive teaching and learning. The Internet provides for collaborative projects. Our automated library is another resource for these projects.

We have available to families an extended care program, open from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM daily. Our extended care program is also available to families during the summer months, and during the day when school is closed due to holiday breaks.

St. Mary Byzantine also operates Pre-School (beginning at age 3), and Pre-Kindergarten Programs with morning or afternoon options available.

St. Mary Byzantine accepts students from other Byzantine and Roman Catholic parishes, Orthodox parishes, as well as other Christian denominations. We look forward to answering any further questionsóplease feel free to contact our school office!
